Ferra young girl born into the "era of immortals" when vampires have taken over and humans are now slaves, goes through a series of challenges to be free and find love. Ferra is strong and independent, she sacrifices herself for others and does not back down. She finds quite the handful of lovers some wanted and others not so much. Some vampires like Damien and Asher the force themselves upon her and battle for her affection and Arie and new vampire that still holds onto his gentle human ways. And surprisingly her "dead" first love Ryder whom she cannot forget joins the mixture as well when she discovers he has become a vampire and is a coldhearted monster now and does not remember her.
Ferra battles trying to figure out which man is meant for her? Damien is sweet and charming until alcohol enters his body and then becomes destructive and abusive he seemed perfect until she saw this side of him and started to fear him completely. And his close friend Asher who may be coherent all the time chooses to beat her and play head games. But then the next moment will start to charm her only to turn around and hurt her again. These two vampires though both love her do not know how to properly show it and keep their anger in check.

Meeting Arie she quickly falls in love with this young vampire, seeing his gentle ways and compassion he has for her even though she is not a vampire like him she quickly fall deeply in love. Though Arie may seem perfect for her it is obvious she has not forgot about Ryder still and cannot forget the love they had. When Ferra discovers Ryder is alive and evil she is inflicted with many emotions from love, lust and joy to fear and worry of what may happen.
With these four men in her life Ferra has many choices to make. I believe that Ryder will be the one for her in the end because even though he is now cruel and monstrous, once he regains his memory they will fall back into love. Even if Ryder and Ferra do end up together she will not have it easy I am predicting considering she has three other men interested in her as well. I am extremely to see the ending of this book and how it turns out.
